On saturday, October the 12th we will start at 17:30 hrs with a neighborhood celebration where visitors and local residents can come together for a snack and a drink.
We will then screen a selection of silent films, chosen partly by local residents and partly by guest speakers and artists. There will also be performances during and inbetween these silent films.
In silent films, people, animals, things and events tell their stories. Instead of speaking, actors often use grand gestures, exaggerated facial expressions and body language, turning these films into universal visual tales that are understandable for everyone.
We will experience an event where silent movie and live performance come together and form a unique mix that you won’t find anywhere else. Because every choice and combination of film and artist has an effect that’s unlike any other.

‘Blackbox’ refers to AI because when you put data into the AI system it’s not fully understandable or opaque how AI got to its result.
Xenia Gott is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Netherlands.
She utilizes a diverse range of mixed media, including (digital) collage, painting, illustration, silk screen printing and audiovisual art.
Central to her artwork lies the exploration and capture of random (online) impressions and the transformation of these moments into her world of figurative sketches.
Recurring themes in Xenia Gott’s artwork include social order, and mental disorder. Her compositions often feature figures enduring struggle — anti-heroes and underdogs living on society’s edge. These fringe characters look different and behave differently; they challenge our perspectives, balancing between the ‘normal’ and the ‘abnormal’.
Through her art, Xenia offers a personal yet relatable narrative, exploring the human condition with a blend of humor, empathy and insight. Her intuitive approach and layered flow of consciousness create a rich visual language that resonates with audiences.
