NINA HITZ
Nina Hitz born in Switzerland, currently lives in the Netherlands. She studied baroque cello at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
With an active, inquiring mind, Hitz consistently explores the unknown in life and in music.
In addition to baroque music, Hitz is active with experimental music, improvisation and theatrical performances.
Together with fortepiano player Kaoru Iwamura she is a member of Belfontis. Together they specialize in early romantic music, Traces and Resonances, with dancer Sato Endo, Jargon and with leader Maurice Horsthuis
Performances in theater- and danceproductions like Orkater, Olivier Provily, Het Barre Land, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, les Ballets C de la B and together with Kaoru, pianokwintet SOUNDS

Her powervocals and performance are often Lo-Fi and the distorted placement of samples and bass sound tear down any HiFi-ambitions or romantic expectations.
X-enia is currently working on her second album ‘Snake ∞’, release is expected in september this year.
