She studied baroque cello at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. \nWith an active\, inquiring mind\, Hitz consistently explores the unknown in life and in music.\nIn addition to baroque music\, Hitz is active with experimental music\, improvisation and theatrical performances. \nTogether with fortepiano player Kaoru Iwamura she is a member of Belfontis.
